Enviroscout is a plug-in sensor that monitors power outages & temperature. Enviroscout uses a SIM card to send real time text message alerts over the GSM (mobile) network. Enviroscout is simple to install and straightforward to use. Just plug it in and send it a text message...it’s as easy as that! ​

Enviroscout will send a text message alert straight to your mobile phone as soon as there is a power cut or when the temperature gets too low/too high.  All temperature thresholds are user-programmable so you can decide what temperature triggers a text message alert. Up to five users can receive alerts. 

Who NEEDS Enviroscout?

​​Enviroscout is a completely wireless remote sensor - it only requires mains power and a SIM card to operate. Enviroscout has many features including a rapid temperature rise alert (see ‘key features’ on the left) and the text message control and responses are so simple it can be used by anyone (technical or not!). ​​​

Enviroscout is used in many industries and applications. These include server rooms, data centres, holiday homes, food services, utilities, healthcare, marine, pharmaceuticals, and many other industries.
It can be used for power loss of fridges/freezers, monitoring temperature of perishables, monitoring the power of any critical equipment, temperature and power monitoring of IT/Comms equipment, monitoring power loss and temperature changes in holiday homes, marine & aquatics and many more situations. 
New applications for Enviroscout are being found all the time.

Usage Example - Server Room

Server rooms and data centres are full of expensive computers and networking equipment that are designed to operate within a set temperature range. Enviroscout sensors provide an affordable, reliable way to monitor these temperature-critical environments.

​If you need to know when the temperature in a server room goes too high, you set a minimum and maximum temperature range (eg 12- 28-degrees) and if the temperature goes above 28 that, Enviroscout will automatically send you an alert with the current temperature. When the  temperature falls back within the pre-set range, Enviroscout will again alert you that the temperatures are back within the pre-set ranges.  Power loss/restore alerts automatically default to "on". ​

Notes: 1) Any network can be used. 2) If you choose to use a PAYG SIM please ensure you send a command to Enviroscout every few weeks/once a month (for example a temperature status request) because if the SIM card is not used for several months OFCOM can sometimes force the mobile operator to take the mobile number back if it’s not being used regularly. 3) None of our devices contain dangerous lithium batteries (Enviroscout uses ‘capacitance’ to store enough energy to send text alerts when the mains power is lost).
