Our self-contained battery-powered unit measures the level in virtually any liquid storage tank. With a robust ultrasonic sensor, our device can detect fluid levels of up to six metres. Our unique form factor design fits securely onto tanks. The device measures the level hourly and with our smart algorithms, provide the level as both a percentage and in litres. The user-friendly web application allows you to set fully-customisable rules and exceptions as to when notifications are sent. Not only does our solution provide accurate levels but notifies users when the tank has been re-filled or is in danger of overflowing.

how it worksSMART's liquid level sensor utilises ultrasonic technology to detect the surface of a liquid. The principle employed is to measure the time of flight of the ultrasonic pulse. The ultrasonic pulse is transmitted from the sensor and on reaching the liquid's surface is then reflected back to the ultrasonic sensor. The measuring circuit will measure the time of flight of the sent wave versus the reflected wave and then calculate the distance from sensor to the surface.
Ultra-low power consumption and smart firmware allow the sensor to transmit for up to 10 years with a pair of AA-type batteries (configuration-dependent). Our device communicates via the IoT Sigfox network which allows for affordable data transfer in addition to maximum battery life. |
