Enviroscout is a plug-in sensor that monitors power outages & temperature. Enviroscout uses a SIM card to send real time text message alerts over the GSM (mobile) network. Enviroscout is simple to install and very easy to use, just plug it in and send it a text message .. it’s as easy as that!
Enviroscout will send a text message alert straight to your mobile phone as soon as there is a power cut or when the temperature gets too low/too high. All the temperature thresholds are user-programmable so you can decide what temperature triggers a text message alert and up to 5 users can receive alerts. |

Who Uses Enviroscout?Enviroscout is a completely wireless remote sensor, it only requires mains power and a SIM card to operate. Enviroscout has many features including a rapid temperature rise alert (see ‘key features’ on the left) and the text message control and responses are so simple it can be used by anyone (technical or not!).
Enviroscout is used in many industries and applications for example Server Rooms and Data Centers, Holiday Homes, Food services, Utilities, Healthcare, Marine, Pharmaceuticals and other industries. It can be used for power loss of fridges/freezers, monitoring temperature of perishables, monitoring the power of any critical equipment, temperature and power monitoring of IT/Comms equipment, monitoring power and temperature in holiday homes, power loss for marine & aquatics and as temperature & power loss is so critical Enviroscout is used for new applications all the time. |
Usage Example - Server RoomServer rooms and data centers are full of expensive computers and networking equipment that are designed to operate within a set temperature range. Enviroscout sensors provide an affordable, reliable way to monitor these temperature-critical environments.
If you need to know when the temperature in a server room goes too high, you set a minimum and maximum temperature (eg 12- 28 degrees) and if the temperature goes above 28 degrees, Enviroscout will automatically send you an alert with the current temperature. When the temperature falls back within the pre-set range, Enviroscout will again alert you that the temperatures are back within the pre-set ranges. Power loss/restore alerts are automatically set as default on.

Notes: 1) Any network can be used. 2) If you choose to use a PAYG SIM please ensure you send a command to Enviroscout every few weeks/once a month (for example a temperature status request) because if the SIM card is not used for several months OFCOM can sometimes force the mobile operator to take the mobile number back if it’s not being used regularly. 3) None of our devices contain dangerous lithium batteries (Enviroscout uses ‘capacitance’ to store enough energy to send text alerts when the mains power is lost)
